Hes Right Guys.

Joesph Wilson, one of the few people to be right about the overall status about Iraq and the exaggeration of the Bush Administration. Many know Joesph Wilson because he is the husband of the Valerie Plame Wilson a CIA operative. The leaking of the identity of Valerie as a CIA agent caused a mass investigation about who leaked a CIA identity which is illegal.
Joesph Wilson, an ex-ambassador of Iraq defended saying that Iraq never went to Africa to buy nuclear weapons or uranium. Wilson claimed that Bush Administration to be making up the Iraq threat of weapons.
It took an ambassador to retrieve true intelligence but going to Africa and finding out and not even our own CIA would provide correct information. What do we say? Was it possible it was a conspiracy? Sadly our secrecy and intelligence is misused and falsely told by the government to acquire power and put us in unnecessary harm and danger. Sometimes, there our government seems to be crumbling but always have hope that one day someone honestly will take the places of corrupted minded people. But for now, we immobile because President's selfish desires.
sigh!
Will the government take away and simply destory lives of others who to try bring the truth and reality to the surface? I think its time, we all step up our ground like global warming and try to contribute by putting out our own and opinion.

Intelligence...Not concern with warfare

As the United States and many powers of the world tries to such out the nuclear crisis with the "axis of evil" and the "war on terror". The enemies of terrorism and threats seems to be less and less factual and happening at all. Because so many of us, were easily to taking in the idea of terrorism and the Al-Quida (fine, i admit i was one too). What if our next enemy is getting stronger and can cause heavy devastation if it reaches a peak.
That enemy is global warming. Congress and many intelligence organization are addressing the growing part of global warming. A growing topic of 2006 and 2007 since the release of Al Gore's move "An Inconvenient Truth". It really hurts me to see politics blow him off and makes me regret thinking he has these cut in moments to make the movie interesting but i find it really connective now. I'm sad to say i would had not care though taught in Earth Science class as a topic that only covered the surface of this problem. I believe that is reason because of the spilt views of global warming but both sides agree that this problem is real.
If the intelligence agency and secrecy is willing enough to send large numbers to seek out other countries information why don't they now go find hidden top scientist who have been ignored for this very reason. As my tribute for receiving this news, i try my best not to litter or over use of unnecessary lights at home.
Out of the topic, i hope one day like Al Gore wants a better future for our children and hopefully take away anything that tries to disturb them from a better life.

Definition of INTELLIGENCE and SECRECY

Intelligence, what do you think it may be? hmmms..smartness? hmmms..lets see
what wikipedia has to say.
Intelligence (abbreviated int. or intel.) is information valued for its currency and relevance rather than its detail or accuracy —in contrast with "data" which typically refers to precise or particular information, or "fact," which typically refers to verified information.
In this case, i believed to have its "currency" is to have accuracy and which sometimes this datat needs to be shared with everyone instead of kept secret. And definitely to be verified by everyone and to for anyone to know. But to a certain extend to not let to much information because of the changes and how government run now. The control and dominance is from acquiring weapons and ideas so now we are restricted but we still deserve the intelligence and the truth.
Secrecy, hmmms lets see what wikipedia has to say about this. Well my guess means keeping something private.
Secrecy is the practice of sharing information among a group of people, which can be as small as one person, while hiding it from people not in the group. That which is kept hidden is known as the secret. Secrecy is often controversial. Many people claim that, at least in some situations, it is better for everyone if everyone knows all the facts—there should be no secrets.
I think secrecy like intelligence has up to a certain restriction.

But what does this mean? secrecy and intelligence? right now i think being a student and in the middle of the worst crisis the world has seen since World War2 its hard to pick sides. Because serecy and intelligence everyone wants to know the truth and know everything. At the same time there are countries hungry for power and like to know everything. So being in the middle of all this what do we do? Well for me i like my own intelligence and secrecy, but i think today people need to hope for better futures with more truths because we all can handle it.

military secrets

People all around the world believe or hope for peace in the future. What happens if two of most powerful nations are trying to acquire secrets from each other? war? Possible. In recent news, a US engineer named Chi Mak is being held on trial for delivering secrets and military information about the US's war systems and ships. This has been a growing topic on many new such as TIME magazine and that story never seems to die in my head. The rise of Chinese intelligence activities in US soil and computer systems.
The story is similar to this article of passing of information but instead these Chinese intelligence activities are both in their own country and in the US. In the TIME special report, a few contractors and intelligence agency employed hackers are trying to step up to what seems like a full engagement with Chinese hackers whom seem to breaking in many of US secrets. In one case, the US sends in CIA and operatives to find out and as they approach the crumbled house is abandon with lots of cable wires. Its a scary fact, that these two nations begin to open up a new beginning of weapon and military power aggression like the Cold War.
As our technology advances and secrecy of finding about each other rises so will the tension between the two countries. Where will the peace come? i don't know. lets just hope it will come soon in an orderly fashion.

"When will we learn?"

Right now, listening to nickelback's "if everyone cared", makes me scoff and wonder about today's government and secrets. how shameful it possibly it be?
To look back and try to forgive the US government for what it does done to everyday people is not possible. Sadly, our government will always be corrupted but sometimes we need more truths and honestly than myths and lies. Being a prideful American, its hard to admit these things and even admit that China will sooner or later be a matching power to the United States. The plague of influence sometimes is something we cant over look and its eating me to trust our government. hopefully, the next president will not a be manager and instead open up his arms to welcome us.
Like i said, the US government and its policies has been here for almost 300 years. And one of most shameful moments of the US government and CIA occurred after World War 2. The journalist tried to get their hands on this 27000 page report about the events about the CIA but the CIA called for the government to be restricted from being released. In the memo, contains things such as after the war the US hired Hitler's former spy director of the Eastern Europe to be the director. The CIA protected many hidden former Nazis and even recruited them and sadly they became double agents for the soviet union.
Sad but true. Supposedly there are even more secrets hidden by the government. Even though the exposing of this to the media i believe people have the right to know what takes place in a government "elected" by the people. Hopefully, we'll make through this increasing time of confusion and disaster.

Hidden Conspiracy???

Conspiracies? After this article, this is probably my 10000000000000th opinion ive heard about the US government. What can i say? Who are we suppose to believe theres are so many explanations for the today's stretched out domestic policies. Many say Bush is the neo-con who turned the US into a diaster, while others say there is no conspiracy, others says its today's corruption. Who are we suppose to believe?
After being in GREAT elfrank's class and watching the power of nightmares. i truly believe the government hides and keeps secrets from us. I truly believe the United States has stripped alot of this values because very left wing conservatives. The documentary really proves that our government have people addictive to power and the need to "spread" their thoughts to everyone. I think the public today is sick of lies and just the shape todays corrupted government.
We have fallen apart in many cases and lost alot of momentum we once had when we were stronger and prideful nation. Sometimes, it sickens me to hear about 10 deaths of men US servicemens dying in a war it just shouldnt be fought. And we are not looking for other ways to adopt to the oil crisis. I hope one day the US will restore to its true nature and be straight forward to the public. Because honesty is stronger than myths and lies. Sometimes we need to be willing to not hide and just try to accept everything and everyone, sooner or later people will cripple from their own darkful desires and see no need for pain or blood.

CIA spendings and unlimited contorl?

Hi, everybody do you know an organization funded by the government and recieves 5 billion dollars annually? I do. The CIA. CIA spending has increased over the years after 9/11 due to their criticism and failures. In 2002, a budget proposed by Bush allowed the CIA to recieve additional 1.5-2 billion dollars to fix the "problem". Usually the problem meant Al-Qaida and their operatives. The money supposedly to add a new satellite, aid governments to rooting up suspected Al-Qaida in highly Muslim countries and to use more covert operations to crack down. A very good spending idea right? True it is. Many experts saw this as a blank check to the CIA to do whatever it takes and how ever much they want. For seen later on the public and the senates gave Bush a blank check to do whatever he wants and he takes this power and leads US to the war Iraq.
As living citizens, we should have a call in this outrage and stand up to this growing abuse of political power for the "good" of this country. There are many for conventional and safer ways to approach a problem but giving a blank check of money and unlimited power is very risky. Our taxes should be well spent if for the CIA for a safer and smarter outlook but not the ability to override the law and a person's live.

Our Intelligence History

Lately, I have been focusing my issues on the CIA and US secrecy. Now i will like to expand into CIA history and open up to many more Intelligence agencies funded by our federal government. In the postwar World War II, President Roosevelt needed a central intelligence agency to coordinate information and to obtain them. The US passed many acts to create intelligence agencies to fulfill this need. There was already the FBI whom was assigned to deal with US issues and problems. Throughout 1945-7, there were many names for these intelligence groups such as OSS, CIG, NIA, NSA and many more. The history of the US intelligence agencies is very complex. To make a long story short, it was driven by the change and mysteries around the world after World War 2 especially communism. A secret society of workers whom identification is hidden opened up concerns to their information and power. In the 1980s, the US pushed an act to have a constant report from the CIA about activities and newfound data.

Personally, I believe the CIA and intelligence agencies are very important to our countries’ safety and protection. Like the information that are very sensitive like nuclear weapons and hi-tech war machines. And I still stand ground to believe our society should have a group who compose only of secrecy and powers that surpass the amendments and avoid penalty. http://www.fas.org/irp/cia/ciahist.htm

Invisible Powers...?

The CIA, the United States most recognized US intelligence agency have been around for almost 60 years. Doing secret operative work for the President and the United States. With the power of the authority, president and funding the CIA had a range of powers which they could conduct and investigate whatever necessary for the a good part of their 60 years. One of the United States least known fact Americans do not know is the Drug Wars and trafficking in South America.
The Drug Wars conducted in South America occurs everyday as American troops tried to stop growing war and drug lords. Discussed in this article is the CIA involvement in the Drug trafficking during the Vietnam War. Something kept secret and explained by Alfred McCoy how the CIA protected and gave power to many drug lords to bring drugs into the US. Whats with this picture? With the power of the government, the CIA did what they wanted. And allegedly sent drugs and allowed it to pass on to many soldiers during the Vietnam war. Nearly 34% were addicted to heroin!
As we sit here today, what is this invisible powers within the American government many would say its pure corruption, others view the protection and many more. The invisible power of secrecy ruling and twists within a government solely stands on values. What is next? a "Demo-Monarchy?"

Opinions on Wiretaps

In a past article published by CNN almost a year ago, people had mixed emotions about the United States en posing a wiretap to stop terrorism and protect Americans in general from anything evil. Viewers from all over the world, responded in both positive and negative manner. Some said Bush and the intelligence agency are doing the right thing to prevent attacks and any harm. But on the other side people disagreed and felt if you take away that freedom what else is the government going to do and its our right to have privacy.

Using a non-bias point of view I believe both cases have huge points. One point is that we need to be safe. Our government pays intelligence agencies so that they find out information to protect and ensure safety for us. So of course its necessary for the CIA, NSA, etc. And it should be appropriate for the government to make sure calls aren't violations or a threat to us. We shouldn't be breaking the law anyways. One point to stand with the government.

The second point of argument is this a violation to our amendments and natural rights for privacy? Many in the emails responded by saying yes it is. Because we are in a government who is powered by the people. And people should be able to speak out and surely have their privacy at home. If the government is given the power to do such things what happens if they begin to grow hungry for more (and of course humans have the need for greed)? As Americans we should have privacy and knowing we are actually to coming home sweet home not home "I'm listening" home.
So fellow classmates, friends, viewers what would you do?

Who to believe?

Our governemt have a constant on going connection to information about the foreign countries. The president is supposely to have a briefing everyday from the CIA telling him his agendas and any rise of news and key events in the past day or hours. The CIA has been key to releasing information about what they discover and claim to the public. In 2002, a report stated that China's missile system has been upgrading rapidly. China rejects the report saying it was baseless and has no evidence. US intilligence claims any reports of china's new systems for building ICBMS(bombs) and making them mobile so they can be avialable through out. Also, saying China's missiles will be able to hit the US and soon have enough to try match US's force. And constantly shows military imposement at Taiwan.

Our US intelligence is very important baseless or not its good to have a source you can trust on a certain level. We need some intelligence to keep our country informed and a have an advantage in any occasion. We need to able to react and counter anything that will harm our well-being. But at the same time, supporting the intelligence of the US does not mean they have the right to over-power and launch un-nesscary aggressions and provoked violence. We are a country of freedom-fighters and values and we need to stand on this ground. I do believe our Intelligence agencies they have the finest spies and they are under-pressure everyday.

Patriot Act - The Fall of our Freedom

What is the patriot act ? A new law legalizes during the past years created by Preside George W. Bush to provide safely. The safely described by Bush was to protect from terrorist, potential rise of Anti-US expressions. As the government, Bush feels he has a right to protect Americans from danger and truly he is doing that. But what happens when he re withdraws certain rights and our constitution? That is just pure invasion of privacy.
Described in this article, we find out that our privacy was violated before September 11th. The first occurrence was during the Red Scare, the fear of communism and the spread around the world and making democracy weak and obsolete. The Red Scare during the 1960s and 1970s opened up many options to stop the "scares". One thing, the US allowed was invasion of Vietnam where communism begin to spread deep into Asia and those the Indo islands. The second thing was the illegal tap into people's privacy. Overhearing American conversations, feelings, discussions, thoughts and into their home in occasions. The privacy ripped away from Americans secretly as the CIA and many other intelligence agency recorded and searched for remarks to communism, anti-war, and many more. This violation was not exposed to later on when Americans lashed out at the government for such doings. But, who are we say the intelligence agency aren't allow to enter our homes and protect us? they are constantly everyday encountering dangerous situations and problems to protect and serve the US.

we are. because our liberties protect us and we have the right to overthrow intolerable acts.
